Hello and welcome to my site. I am a visual artist living and working in Berlin. I am best known for my ‘Hillary’ work comprising paintings, collages, writings and video over an eight year period of sustained interest in all things visual within the Hillary imaginary. In this work “Hillary” serves as a narrative device for a discourse on the Feminine, the primordial other, situated somewhere between private desire and collective drive. In focusing on Hillary Clinton, the work explores the symptoms of otherness and the gap between my own experience and the habitual narratives on women and power.

A little bit of background. I was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. After studying Art and Mathematics as an undergraduate, I received a PhD in Mathematics, followed by a ten-year career as a professor. A crisis of faith lead me to New York City where I earned an MFA in Fine Art from the School of Visual Arts. After fourteen years in New York, I moved to Berlin in 2017. It was always a dream to live here, amidst the ruins and the historical memories they hold, yet also amidst the new and rebuilt, in a city that continually re-imagines its future.
